Based on some of the past reviews, I'd avoided shopping here, but needed milk and a couple of other critical items so stopped in last week after doing errands at the Post Office and library. I was pleasantly surprised by the impeccable cleanliness, the attractive produce, and the variety of goods on offer. I was able to find a width of Asian rice noodle that was not in any of the stores on San Bruno Ave, and there was also good stocking of pantry items and Latinx foods. The items I purchased were priced fairly. The two men behind the counter were both helpful and friendly, and the store was not too crowded to maintain Covid-distancing (something I've experienced at Grocery Outlet). Unfortunately, I live closer walking distance to the shops on San Bruno than to Leland Ave. but I will certainly return to Leland Market for future needs. It's quite possible that it's under new management since some of the older reviews here.

Near by, they have most of produce that the Latino community loves and it can be a bit expensive but there is no where else. Unless you wanna go to grocery outlet and things will expire the next day. Don't let this bad comments ruin your time going there most of this people don't live around the area.

I just want to ammend my initial post after time has past all the things i said about the women (1 person) who has a history of being nasty. unhelpful, are still true but the same night as i wrote the review the situation had been remedied by another worker. We have had no issues with anyone else working there and feel like i needed to write this ammendment. So maybe shop knowing what may get shot in your direction and avoid that person or at least you know you're not alone.

My go-to market now! A huge selection of produce compared to other markets nearby, and the inside is well lit and relatively clean. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of Asian staples present. Goes to show they know who lives in their neighborhood. The cashiers (mostly the ladies) can be curt but they just want to get through the line as fast as possible (and there is almost always a line when I go). Huge exaggeration on behalf of my fellow reviewer though. Also, if you're looking for soy milk, it's in the back, they strategically placed that fancier milk in the front.
